Managing Addiction or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is FREE Following Approval from Open Arms the Veterans And Veterans Families Counselling Services (VVCS)
Military service and deployment can offer a sense of belonging and identity to many veterans, and it can also have a long lasting and profound effect on them. Many veterans suffer from depression, anxiety problems, substance abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, sleeplessness, anger and even symptoms that cannot be medically explained.
It is not unusual for veterans to suffer from one or more of these problems, and it is very common that they have never been diagnosed or treated. These ongoing problems can lead to additional difficulties in their relationships and working lives, with significant impacts on their spouses, partners and children.
Louise Goodwin is highly trained and experienced in helping veterans and their families overcome the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder and substance abuse. She is also well known for helping veterans and their families to adjust and transition to a civilian life.
